Zircon CRM / Marketing & brand
Runs in the browser · HU / EN / DEA social media content calendar from first idea to published post
Social Manager in Zircon CRM brings together what most marketing teams spread across five or six tools: reading the news, collecting ideas, drafting, approval, scheduling and publishing. Every post for your own brand's blog, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook gets its own text per platform, with a live preview. Buffer publishes the social posts, and their status comes back to the idea's card.

In short
What is Social Manager in Zircon CRM for?
A social media content calendar is the plan of what gets posted, when and where. Zircon CRM's Social Manager runs that plan and the work behind it: it collects topics from RSS feeds, takes posts to approval on an ideas board, has an AI assistant connected over MCP write the drafts and publishes to LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook through Buffer. Built for marketing teams and their own brand channels.
Sound familiar?
One post passes through five tools before it goes out.
If two of these ring true, your content still moves by copy and paste.
- 01
The good article stays in a browser tab
On Monday someone finds a useful industry article and leaves it open in a tab. By Thursday the browser has been closed and the topic is gone.
- 02
Approval happens in an e-mail thread
The third version of the text sits in someone's inbox and the image in a shared folder. Nobody can say for sure which one is final.
- 03
The AI chat starts from zero every time
You paste in the tone of voice, the audience and the character limit again, and the draft still reads like a summary of somebody else's article.
- 04
Mistakes show up at the last minute
Only the scheduling tool tells you that the text is too long or that the Instagram post has no image. By then the slot has slipped.
What it does
What Social Manager does.
Every idea is a card with a separate post for each platform, and everyone sees the same latest text.
Feed reader with keyword highlighting
Follow RSS, Atom and JSON Feed sources; paste a plain website address and Social Manager finds the feed. Add up to 200 interest keywords: matching articles are highlighted and collected in a separate keyword-matches box.
Ideas board with six stages
Ideas move across a Kanban board: New, Draft, In Review, Publishable, Scheduled and Published. Drag a card to move it on, and see the assignee, the target date and the state of each platform's post on the card itself.
A separate editor for each platform
Blog, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook each get their own tab with that platform's fields. The live counter turns amber above the recommended length and red above the hard limit, and the LinkedIn tab reminds you that only the first 210 characters show before "see more".
Live previews
As you type, you see how the post will look on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, and for a blog article you also see the Google search result. The Instagram preview tells you when the post still has no image.
AI drafts from your own assistant
Social Manager has no built-in text generator. It turns the idea, the source article, your brand voice and the platform rules into a brief, and an AI assistant connected over MCP, such as Claude, writes the posts for every platform from it. Without a connected assistant, copy the brief into any AI chat.
Version history
Each post keeps its latest 30 versions, and the AI-written original is always kept. Restore any earlier version, and undo the restore if you change your mind.
Publishing through Buffer
Schedule a LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook post for a set time in Buffer, or add it to the next free slot in your Buffer queue. Before sending, Social Manager checks the length the way Buffer counts it, the number of hashtags, the images and the approval. The Buffer status comes back: scheduled, published with a link to the live post, or failed with Buffer's message.
Monthly content calendar
The calendar shows scheduled and published posts in a month grid, with a filter per platform. Drag a scheduled post to another day and its time stays the same. On a phone, an agenda list replaces the grid.
How it works
How one idea moves through the social media content calendar.
- 01
Set sources and rules once
A module manager adds the industry feeds and interest keywords, describes the brand voice, reviews the writing guidelines for each platform and connects Social Manager to Buffer.
- 02
Turn an article into an idea
In the morning, the new articles are waiting in the reader with matching keywords highlighted. Save a good one as an idea, add your own angle and request an AI draft.
- 03
The assistant writes the drafts
The connected AI assistant works through the waiting ideas, writes a post for every selected platform in the idea's language and saves them back. The idea moves to Draft.
- 04
Edit and approve
The writer polishes each post against the counters and previews, adds images and sends the idea to review. The reviewer comments, the writer is notified, and the reviewer marks the idea Publishable.
- 05
Schedule and track
Set a time for each platform and send the post to Buffer. When every channel has published, the idea becomes Published with the live links. If something fails, the sender, the assignee and the creator are notified.
Control
Who writes, who approves, who publishes.
A separate right to publish
Sending to Buffer is its own permission. Writers can prepare posts, and only the people you choose can send them out.
No unapproved posts by accident
If an idea is not yet Publishable, sending it to Buffer needs an explicit tick. Connected AI assistants are instructed to send only when asked and only approved ideas, and they always work with the permissions of the staff member who connected them.
Status that follows the schedule
With the setting on, an idea moves to Scheduled on its own once every platform has a time, and to Published once every platform is out. Automatic changes are marked as such in the idea's activity log.
Works with
Where posts meet the rest of Zircon CRM.
- MCP server for AI assistantsthe AI assistant reads the brief and saves the posts through it, with 25 tools for Social Manager.
- Media library (DAM)pick brand images for a post together with their alt text.
- Dashboardthe social pipeline widget shows ideas per stage, overdue posts and what is coming up.
- Roles and permissionssix separate rights for Social Manager, including the right to publish.
- Automation and scheduled jobsthe scheduled job (cron) on the server refreshes the feeds and checks the Buffer status.
Honestly
Good to know before you start.
Publishing needs a Buffer account with your LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook channels connected, and an API key created by the owner of the Buffer organisation. The key expires after at most a year, so replace it in time.
Images only go out with a Buffer post when Zircon CRM is publicly reachable over HTTPS. Feed refresh and Buffer status tracking need the scheduled job (cron) running on the server.
AI drafting needs the MCP server module and a supported AI client. There is no built-in writer; without one, copy the brief into any AI chat or write by hand.
Social Manager does not publish blog articles: you write and preview them, copy them to your website and mark them as published. It does not measure reach or engagement, and the calendar is a month grid with no week view.
Social Manager is built for your own brand's channels: one brand voice, one Buffer connection. It is not a tool for running clients' social media accounts.
Before you write
Fair questions. Straight answers.
- 01
Does Zircon CRM's Social Manager have a built-in AI writer?
No. Zircon CRM prepares a brief with your brand voice, the source and the platform rules, and an assistant connected through the MCP server, such as Claude, Cursor or Codex CLI, writes the posts. You do not need a separate AI subscription inside Zircon CRM for this.
- 02
Which channels can Zircon CRM publish to through Buffer?
LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, and several Buffer channels per platform if you like, for example a company page and a personal profile with the same post. Blog articles do not go through Buffer: you write and preview them in Zircon CRM, then copy them to your website.
- 03
Can we manage our clients' social media accounts in Zircon CRM?
We do not recommend it. Social Manager is built around one brand voice, one Buffer connection and one company name, and every brief and preview uses them. In Zircon CRM it is meant for planning and publishing on your own channels.
- 04
Does Zircon CRM's Social Manager track reach and likes?
No. Zircon CRM follows whether a post is scheduled, published or failed, and stores the link to the live post. The reactions shown in the previews are placeholders, not real figures.
- 05
What happens in Zircon CRM if Buffer cannot publish a post?
The channel is marked as failed with Buffer's message, and Zircon CRM notifies the sender, the idea's assignee and its creator. Partial success is shown too, with the number of channels that went out. If Buffer does not answer, that channel is not selected again by default, so nothing gets posted twice.
Let's talk.
The first call costs nothing
A human replies — not a bot
Bring your team's brand voice notes and two or three articles you would like to post about. In the demo we take one idea from the feed reader all the way to a scheduled Buffer post.
