A modular CRM where switching off never deletes data

Zircon CRM is built on an established, widely used CRM core, which we have extended with 14 in-house Zircon modules. Here a modular CRM means you switch any of the 23 bundled modules on in one click when you need it, and off when you don't. Its data stays where it is.

In short

What does it mean that Zircon CRM is modular?

A modular CRM is made of parts you can switch on and off separately, so you only use what you need. Zircon CRM includes 23 bundled modules, such as Social Manager, the media library and the Számlázz.hu integration. Modules bring their own menus, settings, permissions and e-mail templates, and their data stays when you switch them off. It is for administrators and business owners.

Sound familiar?

Every feature is on show, and half of them go unused.

If these sound familiar, your current system doesn't fit the way you work.

  1. 01

    A crowded menu

Half the menu points to areas nobody on your team uses. New colleagues still ask about every one of them.

  2. 02

Trying something out is a final decision

You would like to try a new area, but if it doesn't work out, switching it off would delete the data you entered.

  3. 03

A custom need means another tool

A process specific to your business needs a separate application that cannot see your customers and knows nothing about your permissions.

What it does

How Zircon CRM handles modules.

Every module sits on one page, under Modules in the Setup menu.

One list of every module

The list shows each module's name, description and version, with active modules highlighted. On each row you switch the module on or off and, where available, open its settings.

Switching off without data loss

On activation a module creates its own data structures and default settings. When you switch it off it disappears from the menu, but its records stay in the database and are back as soon as you switch it on again.

Fits in like a built-in feature

A module can bring its own menu item, settings page, role permissions, dashboard widget and e-mail templates with their own fields, and it can add pages to the customer portal.

Scheduled work and payment methods

Modules can run syncs, reminders and checks through the system's scheduled job, and they can add new online payment methods, such as iDEAL payments through Stripe.

Three languages and AI assistants

Zircon's own modules ship in English, German and Hungarian. A module can also register its own tools with the MCP server, so AI assistants can work with it too.

Checks before you switch on

If a module needs a newer system version, the list warns you and the module cannot be activated. If a newer version of a module needs database changes, the Setup menu shows a badge until you run the database upgrade.

How it works

How a new area joins the system.

  1. 01

    Open the Modules page

As an administrator you review the list and pick what you need, for example Social Manager.

  2. 02

    Switch it on

The module creates its data structures and default settings, its menu item appears and its settings link becomes available.

  3. 03

    Grant access

The module's permissions appear under roles, where you give the marketing team access, for example.

  4. 04

Switch it off when you no longer need it

A deactivated module disappears from the menu, its data stays, and you can pick up where you left off later.

Honestly

Good to know before you start.

  • Only administrators can open the Modules page, switch modules on and off, and upload new ones. What staff can do inside a module is decided by their roles.

  • Only a deactivated module can be uninstalled, and uninstalling removes its program files. Standard platform modules, such as menu setup, theme style, goals and CSV export, can only be switched off.

  • Some modules need an outside account: Social Manager needs a Buffer account for publishing, the Számlázz.hu integration needs a Számlázz.hu account and a Számla Agent key, and online payments need an account with the provider.

  • Scheduled work in modules needs the scheduled job (cron) running on your server.

Before you write

Fair questions. Straight answers.

  1. 01

Do I lose data if I switch off a module in Zircon CRM?

No. A deactivated module disappears from the menu, but its records stay in the database. Switch it back on in Zircon CRM and everything continues where you left off.

  2. 02

What is the difference between deactivating and uninstalling a module?

Deactivating hides the module and keeps its data and files. Uninstalling is only available for deactivated modules and removes the module's program files. Zircon CRM's standard platform modules cannot be uninstalled, only switched off.

  3. 03

Which modules has Zircon built in-house for Zircon CRM?

Fourteen, including the Számlázz.hu integration, hosting and domain renewals, Social Manager, the media library, the MCP server, the recurring tasks list and the applications directory. All of them are available in English, German and Hungarian.

  4. 04

Can Zircon build a custom module for the modular CRM?

Yes. New modules can be installed in Zircon CRM from a ZIP package, and we build them for your own processes too. A custom module gets menus, permissions and settings just like the others. Fixed price, quoted after the first call.

  5. 05

Do I need to write code to switch a module on?

No. An administrator activates the module in one click on the Zircon CRM Modules page, and the module then creates its own data structures, menu item and permissions.

Let's talk.
